BLOGGER CYPRIAN NYAKUNDI, TOP SCHOLAR FACE ARREST OVER EXPLOSIVE “SCAMMER” CLAIMS AGAINST WOMAN

A Nairobi blogger alongside a prominent businessman now risk arrest, following an alleged defamatory publication carried on social media platforms.

The victim Loise Nyambura had made a police report against Cyprian Nyakundi claiming that he was bribed to publish false information against her. Nyakundi’s post was alleging that Nyambura was a scammer who was obtaining money from prominent people in the country claiming she was an employee at Parliament who was on leave.

In her statement to police, Nyambura said Nyakundi’s publication emanated from a WhatsApp message she had sent to one of her enstranged boyfriend’s mutual friends seeking for financial assistance who later forwarded the message to the boyfriend.

Nyambura said that in her plea for help she had indicated that her enstranged boyfriend, Mr. Simon Gicharu, a scholar and prominent businessman would refund the money.

She further claims Nyakundi’s post refering her as a scammer came moments after Mr. Gicharu forwarded the same message to her.

In the WhatsApp message Nyambura was requesting for financial support to enable her enroll their 10-year-old minor who is the center of the dispute to school.

Nyambura has however dismissed Nyakundi’s claims that she was a Parliament service commission employee revealing that she was among employees who were recently fired due to the ongoing saga of fake certificates.

She now says she believe that Mr. Gicharu was the author of the allegations meant to defame her reputation following their recent break-up.

“I only reached out to our mutual friends to assist me financially since i was going through a lot of challenges following my loss of job recently at the parliament, I requested for help to enable me enrol my grade 10 child back to school, however the message was turned against me by my enstranged husband, Simon Gicharu, who shared it with Nyakundi after sharing with me,” Nyambura said

Nyambura narrated that her predicament began after she was forced into a sexual relationship with her then boss at Mount Kenya University who later threatened her legal husband to stay away from her his mistress leading to the break-up of their marriage.

Our efforts to reach Mr. Gicharu during the publication of this article for a right of reply were unsuccessful as our messages were not replied to.

She now wants police to arrest Nyakundi, his financiers and arraign them before a court of law to face relevant charges .
