NCBA-sponsored golfer Njoroge Kibugu is carrying Kenya’s hopes single-handedly after advancing to Round Three of the Magical Kenya Open at Karen Country Club.
In a tournament dominated by seasoned international professionals, Kibugu emerged as the only Kenyan to make the cut, reinforcing his status as the country’s top-ranked golfer and one of Africa’s top 100 players.
“#NCBA sponsored Pro Njoroge Kibugu made the cut to Round 3 of the Magical Kenyan Open (MKO) taking place in Karen Country Club. Njoroge, the top ranked Kenyan, who also features in the top 100 in Africa is the only Kenyan to make the cut,” the statement read.
His qualification for the weekend rounds not only highlights his consistency on the continental stage but also underscores the growing competitiveness gap local players must bridge against global talent.
