The Singleton Whisky partnered with the Financially Incorrect podcast for an exclusive mixer that marked the official launch of the Financially Incorrect Game, an innovative tool designed to turn financial principles into interactive play. Held at Artcaffé Rhapta Square, the event brought together an intimate audience for an afternoon that blended financial learning with a relaxed and immersive social experience.
“This partnership allows us to meet our consumers at the point of ambition and enjoyment. By aligning with the Financially Incorrect platform, we have created a space where the lines between learning and leisure disappear. Spaces like these allow us to connect with those shaping their future as they build a community,” said Simon Lapyem, Brand Manager for The Singleton East Africa (EABL).
The Financially Incorrect Game introduces a progressive, strategy-based challenge that encourages participants to navigate financial decision-making through real-world scenarios. Teams compete in structured rounds that mirror everyday financial dilemmas—testing instinct, negotiation, and long-term planning. The game illustrates how financial literacy can become high-impact, practical, and engaging when delivered in a social and interactive format.
“The Financially Incorrect game is the culmination of dozens of interviews gathered over the past two and a half years, sharing financial stories from Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya. Through the game, we aim to make financial literacy more practical and accessible,” said Barack Bukusi, host of the Financially Incorrect podcast and co-founder.
Guests at the launch were welcomed with complimentary Singleton cocktails paired with a curated selection of gourmet canapés designed to complement the whisky’s smooth and layered profile.
“Our partnership with Singleton has been about highlighting and amplifying real, positive financial stories in society and showing people that they can feel empowered and encouraged. Their belief in us to launch the Financially Incorrect game has been an honor, and we hope to do even more together in the future,” Barack added.
The collaboration between Singleton and Financially Incorrect underscores Singleton’s commitment to fostering purposeful, community-driven moments. The mixer demonstrated how premium whisky can serve as a companion to intelligent conversation and refined social play—creating an atmosphere that is memorable, engaging, and resonant with a premium audience.
