Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast, has officially become the youngest self-made billionaire at age 27, with an estimated net worth of $1 billion. This milestone makes him the eighth-youngest billionaire globally and notably the only one under 30 to have amassed such wealth without inheritance.
Despite his immense wealth, MrBeast is renowned for his philanthropic endeavors. In April 2025, he embarked on a tour of Kenya, focusing on enhancing educational infrastructure and food security in underserved communities.
During his visit to Oloirien Primary School in Narok County, MrBeast’s team constructed a modern kitchen, installed a clean water well, and built a greenhouse and farm to support sustainable agriculture. He also donated a tractor and a truck to enhance food production, aiming to curb hunger affecting young learners.
“We believe in creating lasting impact. Providing these resources is just the beginning of empowering communities to become self-sufficient,” MrBeast stated during the inauguration ceremony.
His efforts extended beyond infrastructure. MrBeast provided meals for many students, bought new desks, and supplied learning materials to various schools, demonstrating his commitment to improving education.
“Even if the videos from these regions don’t garner millions of views, the real reward is seeing the smiles on these children’s faces,” he remarked, emphasizing that his mission transcends online metrics.
MrBeast’s philanthropic philosophy is deeply ingrained in his business model.
He reinvests a significant portion of his earnings into charitable causes, often claiming to have less than $1 million in his bank account despite his billionaire status.
