Safaricom\u00a0(NSE: SCOM)\u00a0has today launched PATA MORE, a new campaign that\u00a0gives\u00a0customers\u00a0and businesses more value\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0connectivity\u00a0products and services\u00a0they use every day.<\/p>\n
PATA MORE is built around a simple promise: more value, more convenience and more freedom\u00a0for customers.\u00a0Customers will enjoy\u00a0250MB\u00a0of data for KES 20 valid for\u00a024 hours, up from 150MB; 1.5GB\u00a0for KES 99\u00a0valid for 24 hours, up from 1GB; and double value on the KES 1,000\u00a0monthly data bundle,\u00a0now 21.5GB\u00a0up from\u00a010GB.<\/p>\n
For M-PESA customers and merchants, PATA MORE adds more value to everyday payments through Pochi la Biashara. Customers can now make Pochi transactions of up to KES 200 for free under Pochi Kadogo, up from KES 100, while fees for transactions above KES 200 will be capped at KES 50 for the next 90 days. Merchant checkouts will also be easier with Scan and Tap to Pay, giving customers faster, simpler ways to pay.<\/p>\n
The campaign also strengthens merchant value by raising the Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods Kadogo threshold from KES 200 to KES 500, enabling small businesses keep more of what they earn as more customers pay digitally.<\/p>\n
Customers looking to upgrade their devices\u00a0will receive\u00a0added value through\u00a0data, voice connectivity\u00a0and\u00a0device insurance, making it easier to stay connected while protecting their devices.\u00a0This includes the Neon Ultra 2 smartphones, available with KES 55 daily repayments and device insurance.<\/p>\n
For customers on the move, drivers\u00a0and riders subscribed to Bundle Ya Deree\/Boda will benefit from packages that combine connectivity with\u00a0work-enabling\u00a0tools, including free access to ride-hailing applications, Google Maps and Tuunza Mapato insurance.<\/p>\n
At home,\u00a0Fibre customers will enjoy internet speeds that are up to 2.5 times faster across plans, alongside family sharing and flexible connectivity options.<\/p>\n
