Nyandarua County Women Representative Faith Gitau has officially declared her candidacy for the Nyandarua gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General Election under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).<\/p>\n
\u201cI will vie for the governor seat in 2027, and it\u2019s already in the public domain,\u201d Gitau said during media interview, confirming her intentions and signaling the start of her campaign.<\/p>\n
Gitau, who has represented Nyandarua County in the National Assembly as women\u2019s representative, emphasized that her decision to contest for governor stems from a commitment to lead the county\u2019s development agenda and consolidate UDA\u2019s influence in the region.<\/p>\n
She noted that UDA remains the most popular party in Nyandarua and pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization to consolidate support.<\/p>\n

Highlighting recent party victories in Mt. Kenya, including the notable win by UDA candidate Leo Wamuthende in Mbeere North, Gitau said the county should rally behind the party to ensure continuity of government programs and development projects.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhatever happened in Mbeere North will happen here in Nyandarua. UDA isn\u2019t leaving anything to chance,\u201d she said, stressing that the party is determined to maintain its stronghold in the region.<\/p>\n
