With the new releases, the tech giant aims to meet rising consumer demand for devices that elevate health, fitness, productivity and seamless connectivity across multiple ecosystems.

The GT6 Series and GT6 Pro arrive with premium materials such as sapphire glass and titanium alloy, presenting a refined look while maintaining durability for everyday or sports use. The watches debut upgraded Emotional Wellbeing 2.0 capabilities, more accurate heart-rate algorithms, enhanced sleep analytics and advanced outdoor performance tools — features designed for users who expect both style and precision in their wearable tech.

The launch also reinforces Huawei’s broader vision to “bring digital to every person, home and organization,” expanding its already substantial global footprint. The company’s wearables have surpassed 180 million shipments, with Huawei ranking first worldwide in wrist wearable units shipped from Q1 to Q3 2024 — momentum that the company says is clearly reflected in Kenya’s growing appetite for smart fitness and health devices.

“Kenya continues to emerge as a dynamic hub for digital wellness,” said Jin Renbin, Device Manager at Huawei Kenya. “With innovations like the WATCH FIT 4 and Band 10, we’re delivering devices that are slim, powerful and adaptable — ideal for fashion-forward users and serious athletes alike.”

Alongside its wearables, Huawei showcased the new MatePad TXZ tablets, designed to bridge the gap between mobility and full-scale productivity. Equipped with PaperMatte displays that replicate the tactile look of real paper and reduce glare, the tablets target creators, students and professionals whose work depends on clarity, comfort and performance. Lightweight builds, improved processing power and intuitive creative tools position the TXZ series as a strong companion for users seeking flexible productivity on the move.

A central theme throughout the event was interoperability. Huawei highlighted its strengthened ecosystem approach, noting that the new devices integrate smoothly with HarmonyOS, Android, iOS and Huawei’s own multi-device platforms. This, the company explained, is part of its ongoing effort to ensure that users can switch between devices without disruption. “Technology should remove barriers, not create them,” the company emphasized.

Speaking during the launch, Wilfred Otieno, Marketing Manager for Devices at Huawei Technologies Kenya, reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to the Kenyan market. “Technology must enrich everyday life,” he said. “This lineup blends health innovation, premium design and creativity tools with frictionless connectivity — giving every user the ability to live smarter and better.”

The GT6 Series, GT6 Pro and MatePad TXZ tablets are now available nationwide through Huawei stores and authorized retailers. As part of the rollout, the company will run promotional bundles and hands-on in-store demos to help consumers explore the new devices’ capabilities.

Kenya features among the earliest global markets to receive the GT6 Series, following earlier launches in China, Malaysia, Japan and the Philippines, with upcoming releases expected in Indonesia and the UAE. Huawei says its decision to include Kenya among the first African markets demonstrates its commitment to delivering its latest innovations in sync with global timelines.

“We believe in accessibility,” added Wilfred. “Our goal is to provide flagship-level performance at prices that make sense for Kenyan users — whether you’re a professional, a student, an athlete or simply looking for smarter tools for everyday life.”

As interest grows in devices that combine wellness, mobility and refined design, Huawei says it plans to continue expanding its ecosystem with products built to enhance how Kenyans live, work and stay connected.

By Njeri Irungu, November 21st 2025, Nairobi, Kenya Nairobi, Kenya, 20th November 2025 — Huawei Kenya has rolled out a…

[50,32,5,9,153,13
206,205,204
post-4345","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-art-people-and-lifestyle","category-business","category-gadgets","category-lifestyle","category-news","category-tech","tag-gt-pro","tag-gt6-series","tag-huawei-kenya
["GET
