{"id":4018,"date":"2025-10-29T12:13:20","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T12:13:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenewsroomhub.co.ke\/?p=4018"},"modified":"2025-10-29T12:13:20","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T12:13:20","slug":"pwani-innovation-week-champions-youth-led-coastal-transformation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenewsroomhub.co.ke\/index.php\/2025\/10\/29\/pwani-innovation-week-champions-youth-led-coastal-transformation\/","title":{"rendered":"Pwani Innovation Week Champions Youth-Led Coastal Transformation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The sixth edition of Pwani Innovation Week (PIW) 2025 has officially kicked off in Mombasa, bringing together youth, innovators, policymakers, and development partners to drive inclusive growth and sustainability across Kenya\u2019s coastal region.<\/p>\n<p>Held under the theme \u201cPwani Re-Imagined: Youth Agency, Innovation &amp; Sustainability of Coastal Economies,\u201d this year\u2019s forum underscores the vital role of young people in reimagining the region\u2019s future through creativity, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Chesosi, Chairman of Truly Kenya Limited during the forum emphasized the importance of empowering coastal youth to lead transformation and shape the future of the Blue and Creative Economies.<\/p>\n<p>Chesosi said the Truly Kenya Digital- the country\u2019s first Ethical Social Media Platform in partnership with ImagineBC seeks to empower digital content creators by promoting transparency, fair compensation, and responsible digital engagement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kbc.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-10-29-at-9.57.16-AM.jpeg?resize=850%2C476&amp;ssl=1\" width=\"968\" height=\"542\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He said that Pwani Re-imagined is about charting a forward-looking transformation of the coastal region \u2014 unlocking resilience and prosperity through diversification and youth-led innovation,\u201d said Chesosi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are two sides to the youth bulge: the youth dividend and youth disruption.
