Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has called on leaders and residents from the Mount Kenya region to remain steadfast in supporting President William Ruto\u2019s government, saying that continued unity will ensure the region reaps maximum benefits from national development programs.<\/p>\n

Speaking in Gatundu North during the Jamii Imara Mashinani<\/em> public engagement forum, Mwaura said the government has already made significant progress in delivering on its promises, citing major investments in agriculture, infrastructure, education, and healthcare.<\/p>\n

He added that the Jamii Imara Mashinani<\/em> initiative is an effort to bridge the gap between government and citizens by taking services, opportunities, and information directly to the grassroots.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe President wants a people-driven government that listens, engages, and acts,through this program, we are bringing accountability to the doorstep of every Kenyan. Development must be seen, felt, and experienced by the ordinary person.\u201dMwaura said.<\/p>\n

Mwaura challenged Mount Kenya leaders to remain focused on the region\u2019s growth instead of engaging in political sideshows, warning that disunity could undermine the government\u2019s transformative agenda.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not the time for politics of distraction,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is time to work together and ensure the President succeeds, because his success is our region\u2019s success.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome echoed Mwaura\u2019s remarks, saying Mount Kenya has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Kenya Kwanza administration\u2019s development programs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have seen new roads, water projects, and affordable housing initiatives transforming communities,\u201d Wahome said. \u201cWe must stay united and support the President\u2019s vision instead of being drawn into divisive politics that derail progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

She reiterated her ministry\u2019s commitment to land reforms through the digitization of records, noting that the initiative will enhance transparency and eliminate corruption.<\/p>\n

Correctional Services Principal Secretary Salome Wairimu Muhia said Jamii Imara Mashinani<\/em> represents a new model of governance that emphasizes direct engagement between leaders and citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen government officials walk into villages to listen to the people, it shows a leadership that cares,\u201d Muhia said. \u201cThat is how we build trust and accelerate service delivery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Public Health PS Mary Muthoni said the government\u2019s health reforms and anti-drug campaigns are empowering young people to take charge of their future.<\/p>\n
