Authorities in Thika are investigating the mysterious murder of a young woman whose body was found dumped by the roadside, sparking shock and outrage among residents.
Detectives are focusing on two key leads: her employer, a prominent businessman in the area, and a suspicious white car seen near the crime scene.
The victim, who had reportedly been involved in a dispute at her workplace shortly before her disappearance, was discovered with visible injuries, raising suspicions of foul play.
Her family and the community have demanded answers, calling for swift justice in what has become one of Thika’s most unsettling murder cases.
Police have identified the woman’s employer as a person of interest in the investigation.
Witnesses confirmed that she was last seen at work, where sources suggest she was trying to resolve a financial disagreement before vanishing.
A senior detective stated, “We are following multiple leads, and the employer remains under investigation. We need to establish the nature of their relationship and whether it played a role in her death.”
The employer has since been questioned and denies any involvement in the incident.
However, investigators are examining phone records and communications between the two in the days leading up to her death as part of their inquiry.
Forensic experts are now analyzing surveillance footage and phone data as they work to reconstruct the victim’s final hours.
Kiambu County police boss Lawrence Muchangi assured residents that authorities are committed to solving the case.
“We will leave no stone unturned in bringing those responsible to book. We urge anyone with useful information to assist us in the investigations.” He said.
